Thanks for coming along, I hope you enjoyed it and were able to learn enough to dive in and try other sites.

I’ll be contacting everyone soon with a link to this site, and would love to hear about your experiences with the calendar. Please make sure that you try a few out before you settle on one.

Adding an address to Google maps

You may want to add a location to Google maps, for instance your office location or a regular meeting place. You can do this by simply following the steps outlined here. This will make the location visible to members of the public.

Exercise 2 – Sharing your calendar

  1. Invite a classmate to view your calendar.
  2. Then schedule a meeting with that classmate.
  3. How would you find out if someone was free or busy?

Exercise 1 – basic appointments

Use quick add to create an appointment that contains:

  1. a person
  2. a location
  3. an email address
  4. a day
  5. a time
  6. Then delete some of them

Try different variations and see what happens. For instance try using ‘high street’ without specifying a town.
